Open Mindedness?
I find it funny that many people who ask and tell others to be open-minded are some of the most close-minded people there are. What they really mean to say is “be open-minded so that you can see and accept MY point of view because mine is the RIGHT one.”

You are so right! I always thought that is was ironic but you have a much better explanation for it. They just want you to change your mind to their point of view. I think I am going to check myslef twice before using that expression again.

How very true. But it’s human nature to want people to approve and support your point of view especially if you have self esteem issues.
