Easy Ornaments

*Some of these crafts require the use of a hot glue gun. Be sure to supervise children during these activities.

Glitzy Icicles

Wrap a sparkly pipe cleaner around a pencil. Pull out the pencil and bend one end into a hook.

Framed Picture

Glue a small photograph of your child(ren) onto a piece of cardboard. Glue new crayons around the edges
for a frame. Add a ribbon hanger.

Reindeer Face

Hot-glue a brown pipe cleaner to the base of large colored Christmas light bulb, in a "V" shape. Curl around a pencil to create antlers. Glue a tiny bell into the center of the V. Glue on eyes and a red pom-pom nose. Add the ribbon at the very end of the base of the bulb to hang.

Bead-Dazzling

Hot-glue clear or colored, flat-backed gems onto glass Christmas tree balls.  Create a pattern or glue them on randomly.
Mist glass ornaments with a spray adhesive and roll in glitter.
Using headed push pins, attach sequins to a Styrofoam ball. Add a loop of ribbon at the top, for hanging
Fold a 2x2" piece of foil wrapping paper into a fan shape. Punch a hole in one end and tie with ribbon to hang on the tree.
Fill clear glass ornaments with cinnamon, apple or pine potpourri, and hang with a ribbon bow.
Spray paint mini pine cones in gold and hang upside-down from red curling ribbon and tiny jingle bells.
Tightly wind metallic string around a Styrofoam ball.

Star Bright

Cut star shapes out of card board and felt. Glue felt onto card board piece. Edge star with glued on sequins.

Candy Canes

Twist red and white pipe cleaners together, barber pole style. Hook one end like a candy cane and hang on a tree limb.

Button Wreath

Cut a plastic lid into a doughnut shape (round with a hole in the middle). Glue on green and white buttons and hang with a red bow. Paint wooden stars with gold glitter or wooden bells with silver glitter.
